Beginning piano lessons on his 4th birthday, Josh has been developing his craft of music for almost two decades. Today, he studies music at the University of North Texas, ranked consistently as a Top 20 Music School. Josh studies classical piano with Regents Professor Adam Wodnicki and has completed private voice lessons. In addition, his passion for music led him to sing with the UNT Grand Chorus , who recently sang Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Richardson Orchestra. Josh is also a member of the UNT Honors College and will earn a minor in business in May 2016.
Every Sunday morning, Josh spends his time at Christ the Redeemer Church, where he serves as the Director of Music. He plays piano and serves as the Choir Director in the Traditional service. In addition, Josh oversees a full worship band in the Contemporary Service. The group includes vocal harmonies, guitar, bass, drums, violin and of course, keys. In both services, he inspires both first-time visitors and members to engage in a meaningful worship experience.
Josh is excited to share his music and perspective on life with you. As a writer, composer, and collaborator, Josh is an emerging songwriter and performing musician. His mainstay instruments are the piano and his vocals. He enjoys sharing his story and encouraging his audience to live their best life and enjoy both the struggles that make us stronger and the good times to celebrate.
